Two companies Andgar has recently formed partnerships with to deliver effective fruit sanitation solutions to our blueberry processing markets are Biosafe and Smart Fog. 

Smart Fog has developed a fogging technology that produces a dry fog that can deliver chemical treated water to a surface without actually wetting the surface.  They have teamed up with Biosafe, a leader in biodegradable, food safe, fruit and vegetable bactericides/fungicides to provide fruit processors like you an option for killing bacteria, fungi (and their spores) on your fruit to extend shelf life and reduce spoilage of your fruit. 

This exciting treatment called Oxidate is OMRI listed (safe for organic operations) and can be applied directly to your blueberries on your processing line as a direct spray treatment prior to dewatering or as a fog after your fruit has been dewatered (in a chamber that covers a section of your line).  The treatment stays on the fruit just long enough to provide an effective kill and then completely dissipates leaving the surface of the blueberry completely residue free.
